Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides instantaneous or near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions by means of one or more attached batteries and associated electronic circuitry for power users. This normally has an inverter and charger.

The normal UPS has the ability to switch between power sources in less than 10 milliseconds. While the other type of electronic base system (Online or Double Conversion) always supply power from the battery bank. In this case the load never gets direct power from the grid. These systems are more expensive in cost and power consumption but are better for very sensitive equipment.

For high power users, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is provided by means of diesel generators and flywheel. The flywheel is powered by the grid (PHCN) and stores energy during that time.

When the grid fails, the momentum (stored energy) in the flywheel keeps the electrical generator running until the diesel engine kicks in. The reverse is done to change to the grid. The flywheel continues to power the load at the point of power transfer.

Juststandout UPS

  • Protects and supports equipment ranging from desktop computers to network equipment.
  • Passes utility power to devices connected to its outlet and keeps its internal battery charged as long as electricity stays on.
  • Allows equipment to stay on during a power outage.
  • Prevent damage, downtime and data loss.
